Anti-Drug & Substance Abuse Awareness

A local issue.
A real response.

Understand the reach and cost of addiction in your community, challenge peer pressure, and create awareness without identifying or stigmatising anyone.

What your team will work towards

  • Understand the physical, mental, and familial harms of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol.
  • Practise resisting peer pressure and encourage dialogue with families and teachers.
  • Learn about available de-addiction and professional support resources.

Project ideas to get you started

  • Pledge Against Addiction
  • Street play / Nukkad Natak
  • Poster and slogan contest
  • Guest sessions with psychologists, doctors, and counsellors
  • My Story, My Choice: fictional short films or reels (1–3 minutes)
  • Sports as an alternative
  • Parents’ corner meetings with AIPIF volunteers
  • Teacher sensitisation workshops
  • Debate, health awareness quiz, and an anonymous wall of support

Build your project dossier

  1. Local problem statement, based on observation, surveys, or interviews—never naming individuals.
  2. Research summary: what has been tried and what is missing.
  3. Campaign design and intended audience.
  4. Implementation record, participation figures, and community response.
  5. Reflection on what the team learned and found difficult.
