Civic Sense & Responsible Citizenship

A local issue.
A real response.

Look closely at the habits that make a city liveable—from following traffic rules to respecting public spaces—and put responsible citizenship into practice.

What your team will work towards

  • Build respect for traffic rules, public order, and shared spaces.
  • Understand civic rights and duties, RTI, voting, and grievance redressal.
  • Promote tolerance, mutual respect, social harmony, and responsible digital citizenship.

Project ideas to get you started

  • Traffic awareness walks with permission and police presence
  • My City, My Responsibility debates
  • Youth parliament assemblies
  • Public-space etiquette role play
  • Dialogue with civic officials
  • Cyber-safety and social-media responsibility sessions
  • RTI and civic-rights training
  • Civility in Queues campaigns
  • Letters to local authorities
  • Neighbourhood civic audits
  • Conflict-resolution workshops
  • Voter awareness for UG/PG students turning 18

Build your project dossier

  1. Identify a specific local civic issue.
  2. Document the baseline with counts, photographs, and short interviews.
  3. Design an awareness walk, dialogue, role play, or public information campaign.
  4. Carry out 2–3 action days.
  5. Report what changed, what did not, and why.
